Media Arts independent studies

 7th - 11th  This week I have continued to combine the clips and sort them, Currently I am half way done with putting them together. After that I will be adding effects and better lighting.  I am currently working with the quality scaled down to 1/8 as my laptop glitches when its any higher (it still glitches as is but not as bad) One problem I am started to realize is I may not have enough clips to get through the entire song, but what I will do is once I run out of clips I will start repeating them at random.

 31st - 4th This week I continued to put all the videos in premiere and started deleting the unnecessary ones. With over an hour of clips I have got them to 6 minutes. The song I'm using is only 4 minutes. with the work imp doing, just cutting and putting clips together is easy for my computer to handle but once I start editing the clips my laptop is going to struggle and I will probably return to class to work using the computers as they are more powerful.

This week we have finalized all the car footage we needed and we are going to work on premiere for the remaining time of the semester. I am planning to have the rough draft done within the next 2 weeks and then work on the final good copy. For the rough copy, I will be putting all the clips together and making sure they work with the beat of the song.  Before filming the final scene for the car, the car was really dirty and we had to spend a couple of hours cleaning it and making it clean again. Although this is not media arts related I am adding the pictures of the before and after of what we had to do to the car before we could film the final scene. 17th - 20th  During the week I filmed more of the car and I am not waiting for a clear sunny day to finish it off. On the next good sunny day I will be driving with owen to his house where I will be getting an intro of me walking up to the car with different angles. between the 17th - 20th I have starting reviewing and gathering all the videos I want to use in the video. And I will start adding them to premiere.

for the past week we have been out in "Norrish creek forest service road" filming the car and its performance in different angles, all we need is a beginning intro which will be filmed on the next sunny day during class.  Some information about the road: This road is a non used work road that is now used as an offroad trail that made a good filming location because there is little to no vehicle traffic, a wide trail where 2 vehicles will easily fit, and the beginning of the road (where we filmed) was mostly flat gravel. effect and tricks: I have a video of this person i know taking his car through a mud pit and the video took place in the passenger side and the car is the same color as my car, my plan is to put clips of his car into my video making it look like my car is going through the mud. effect and tricks: I am going to be in park and rev the engine to 4 and push the traction control button repeatedly (which shows the loss traction light to turn on and speed up the clip...

flying the drone - 2021-05-07 - 2021-05-10 Thursday: we had practice flying the drone at the school but it was windy and the drone was hard to control. Friday: I finalized the script and what type of filming techniques to use. Monday: Today I am planning when to film the video, we have concluded that the drone will probably not be used in the main part of the video as the wind is unpredictable and with the short battery life we would not be able to get any good lasting shots of the car. Tuesday - Thursday: We should be filming the car video.
